|Proposal to reduce the number of credits required for ENG 313 from 64 to 45
The 64 credit required for ENG 313 is restrictive. Many first semester Juniors are not eligible to take ENG 313, resulting in students taking it in their Senior rather than Junior year. Generally students should take ENG 313 before their Senior Seminar or capstone course in their major. Lowering the credit restriction will enable second semester Sophomores and first semester Junior to register in the courses thereby positioning ENG 313 more correctly in the student's program of studies.
