This is a bulletin from the Academic Affairs Committee concerning proposed curriculum actions. Within the next 10 days, please forward any comments or concerns to the AAC Chair, Helen Biblehimer, Elliott Hall 203, ext. 4521,

The Department of Education and Special Education has requested the following curricular change:

#1 Action: Program Change: BSE Special Education

Rationale for change:
Meeting the mandated program change to 120 credits.

List all changes:
Delete 6 credits of major related electives.
Drop ELE 2220, Child Development, as a requirement
Add PSY 3292, Child Psychology, as a requirement in Group 5: Social Sciences

#2 Action: Program Change: BSE Elementary Education

Rationale for change:
Reduce required credits for completion of the Elementary Education BSE program from 128 credits to 120 credits as mandated by SSHE.

List all changes:
The minimum credits required for graduation will be reduced to the mandated 120 credits by eliminating 8 credits of free electives.
