New Course

TRT 4440 Meetings, Conventions, Special Events Planning and Management 3 credits

Purpose: An exposure to and appreciation of the scope, nature, and basic concepts of planning and managing meetings and convention; explore the relationship of meetings/conventions and marketing; develop an appreciation of how meetings/conventions/special events are planned. Implemented, and evaluated; explore the intimate relationship of the travel industry to the meeting world.

Course Description:

A comprehensive study of professional meeting management: who holds meetings; planning and development; management and evaluation; sales, marketing, services; conventions, special events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
