Essay 1: “Finding your voice in 2061”. Diary/Travelogue /Step One: decide if you are going to write a diary or a travelogue. Step Two: write a week’s entry for your diary/travelogue. Step Three: Write at least a paragraph reflecting on the diary or travelogue, adopting the role of a narrator that finds your diary/travelogue in a time capsule 20 years later. The narrator must reflect on the value, importance, and chief characteristics of the diary/travelogue. Option: you can switch diary/travelogue entries with a partner and write about theirs. They must be given credit for the 2nd part.

Alternative Topic–focus of reporter but the academic form of an essay (1, 2)
